Section 537.1302, Code 2009, is amended to read 1 as follows: 2 537.1302 Definition —— Truth in Lending Act. 3 As used in this chapter, “Truth in Lending Act” means Title 4 1 of the Consumer Credit Protection Act, in subchapter 1 of 5 15 U.S.C. ch. 41, as amended to and including January 1, 6 2008 2010 , and includes regulations issued pursuant to that Act 7 prior to January 1, 2008 2010 . 8 EXPLANATION 9 This bill changes dates referenced in the definition of 10 “Truth in Lending Act” contained in Code chapter 537, the 11 consumer credit code, to conform to the January 1, 2010, 12 amended version of that Act, and regulations issued pursuant to 13 the Act prior to January 1, 2010. Currently, the definition 14 contained in Code section 537.1302 references January 1, 2008. 15 This change will update references to the Act throughout the 16 consumer credit code, and in several other Code chapters where 17 the Act is cited. 18 -1- LSB 5389DP (4) 83 rn/nh 1/ 1
