  1  1    Section 1.  STUDY CONCERNING PROVISION OF CHILD ABUSE
  1  2 INFORMATION TO JUVENILE COURT SERVICES.  The department of
  1  3 human services shall work jointly with the juvenile court and
  1  4 juvenile court services in studying the provision of child
  1  5 abuse information to juvenile court services concerning
  1  6 children under the supervision of juvenile court services,
  1  7 barriers to timely provision of the information, and how the
  1  8 provision of the information can be improved.  A final report
  1  9 with findings and recommendations shall be submitted to the
  1 10 governor, supreme court, and general assembly, on or before
  1 11 December 15, 2009.
  1 12                           EXPLANATION
  1 13    This bill requires the department of human services to work
  1 14 jointly with the juvenile court and juvenile court services in
  1 15 studying the provision of child abuse information to juvenile
  1 16 court services concerning children under the supervision of
  1 17 juvenile court services.  The study is required to address
  1 18 barriers to timely provision of the information and how the
  1 19 provision of the information can be improved.  The study final
  1 20 report is required to be submitted to the governor, supreme
  1 21 court, and general assembly, on or before December 15, 2009.
