H.F. 2490 Section 1. CONSUMER APPROVAL TRANSACTIONS —— REGULATION 1 —— INTENT. It is the intent of the general assembly to 2 regulate consumer approval transactions and apply penalties 3 for violations in relation to such transactions. For the 4 purposes of this section, “consumer approval transaction” means 5 a solicitation of a customer away from a regular place of 6 business of the seller or by a mail or telephone solicitation 7 from the seller directed to a customer. 8 EXPLANATION 9 This bill states that the intent of the general assembly is 10 to regulate consumer approval transactions and apply penalties 11 for violations in relation to such transactions.
