H.F. 2414 Section 1. Section 35A.12, Code 2009, is amended to read as 1 follows: 2 35A.12 Military honor guard services. 3 An honor guard unit made up of members of a recognized 4 military veterans organization as listed in section 35A.2 or 5 37.2, the Iowa national guard, the reserve or auxiliary forces 6 of the United States, or a reserve officers training corps 7 shall be allowed to perform any honor guard service on public 8 property. 9 EXPLANATION 10 Code section 35A.12 allows members of a recognized military 11 veterans organization of the Iowa national guard, the reserve 12 forces of the United States, or a reserve officers training 13 corps to perform any honor guard service on public property. 14 This bill would allow members of auxiliary forces of the United 15 States to also serve in that capacity. 16 -1- LSB 6222HV (1) 83 jr/nh 1/ 1
