H.F. 2386 Section 1. Section 321.176A, Code 2009, is amended by adding 1 the following new subsection: 2 NEW SUBSECTION . 8. A person who operates a motor vehicle 3 in the performance of the person’s duties as a volunteer for a 4 nonprofit entity which is exempt from federal income taxation 5 pursuant to section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, 6 when the operation is for the purpose of transporting patients 7 or clients of the nonprofit entity. 8 EXPLANATION 9 This bill creates an exemption from commercial driver 10 licensing requirements for certain persons who serve as 11 volunteers for nonprofit entities.
