H.F. 2302 Section 1. Section 709.21, subsection 1, unnumbered 1 paragraph 1, Code 2009, is amended to read as follows: 2 A person who attempts to or who knowingly views, 3 photographs, or films another person, for the purpose of 4 arousing or gratifying the sexual desire of any person, commits 5 invasion of privacy if all of the following apply: 6 EXPLANATION 7 This bill relates to the criminal offense of invasion of 8 privacy. 9 The bill makes an attempt to commit invasion of privacy in 10 violation of Code section 709.21 a criminal offense. 11 A person who violates the bill commits a serious 12 misdemeanor. A serious misdemeanor is punishable by 13 confinement for no more than one year and a fine of at least 14 $315 but not more than $1,875. 15 A person who violates the bill is required to register as a 16 tier II sex offender. 17 -1- LSB 6116HH (2) 83 jm/rj 1/ 1
