H.F. 2279 Section 1. Section 515.103, subsection 2, paragraph h, Code 1 2009, is amended by adding the following new subparagraph: 2 NEW SUBPARAGRAPH . (1A) Multiple inquiries for credit 3 reports not initiated by the consumer or initiated by the 4 consumer for the consumer’s own credit information. 5 EXPLANATION 6 This bill prohibits an insurer from using multiple inquiries 7 for credit reports not initiated by the consumer or initiated 8 by the consumer for the consumer’s own credit information, as 9 a negative factor in any insurance scoring methodology or in 10 reviewing credit information for the purpose of underwriting or 11 rating a personal insurance policy. 12 -1- LSB 6074YH (2) 83 av/rj 1/ 1
