H.F. 2278 Section 1. NEW SECTION . 238.16A Private child-placing 1 agency —— adoption services eligibility requirements. 2 A private child-placing agency licensed to place children 3 for adoption may establish and administer eligibility 4 requirements for adoptive families that do not conflict with 5 religious beliefs or moral convictions to which the agency 6 subscribes. Establishing and administering such eligibility 7 requirements shall not be grounds for revocation of licensure. 8 EXPLANATION 9 This bill provides that a private child-placing agency may 10 establish eligibility requirements for adoptive families that 11 do not conflict with the religious beliefs or moral convictions 12 to which the agency subscribes.
