1.
Section
708.2A,
Code
2009,
is
amended
by
adding

the
following
new
subsection:

A
person
charged
with
or
convicted

a
violation
of
this
section
who
is
placed
on
probation,

parole,
work
release,
special
sentence,
or
any
other
type

of
conditional
release,
may
be
ordered
by
the
court
to
be

supervised
by
an
electronic
tracking
and
monitoring
system
in

addition
to
any
other
conditions
of
supervision.

Supplement
2009,
is
amended
by

adding
the
following
new
subsection:

charged
with

tracking
and
monitoring
system
in

other
conditions

supervision.

Code
Supplement
2009,
is
amended

to
read
as
follows:

Notification
by
judicial
district
department
of

correctional
services.

A
judicial
district
department
of
correctional
services

shall
notify
a
registered
victim
,
regarding
a
sex
offender
22
convicted
of
a
sex
offense
against
a
minor
an
offender
who
is
23
under
the
supervision
of
a
judicial
district
department
of
24
correctional
services,
of
the
following:

1.
The
beginning
date
for
use
of
an
electronic
tracking
and
26
monitoring
system
to
supervise
the
sex
offender
offender
and
27
the
type
of
electronic
tracking
and
monitoring
system
used.

2.
The
date
of
any
modification
to
the
use
of
an
electronic
29
tracking
and
monitoring
system
and
the
nature
of
the
change.

EXPLANATION
31
This
bill
provides
that
a
person
charged
with
or
convicted

of
a
violation
of
domestic
abuse
assault
or
stalking
who
is
33
placed
on
probation,
parole,
work
release,
special
sentence,
or
34
any
other
type
of
conditional
release,
may
be
ordered
by
the

an

tracking
and
monitoring

system
in
addition
to
any
other
conditions
of
supervision.

The
bill
also
requires
a
judicial
district
department
of

correctional
services
to
notify
a
registered
victim
about
an

offender
who
is
under
the
supervision
of
a
judicial
district
5
department
of
correctional
services
with
certain
specifics
6
about
an
electronic
tracking
and
monitoring
system
that
is
7
being
used
to
supervise
a
defendant
including
any
modifications
8
to
the
system.
