the

reserves
of
the
armed
forces
of
the
United

States
returning
to
Iowa
following
active
federal
service
about

job
opportunities
in
state
government.

Develop,
in
consultation
with
the
department
of

veterans
affairs,
programs
to
attract
and
hire
qualified

disabled
veterans
for
job
opportunities
in
state
government.

The
veterans
shall
have
successfully
completed
a
federal
nonpay

work
experience
program.

EXPLANATION
13
This
bill
requires
the
department
of
administrative
14
services,
as
part
of
its
duties
relative
to
human
resources
15
management
for
state
government,
to
develop
programs
to
seek
16
out
and
hire
qualified
disabled
veterans
for
job
opportunities
17
in
state
government.
The
veterans
must
have
successfully
18
completed
a
federal
nonpay
work
experience
program.
The
bill
19
provides
that
the
department
shall
consult
with
the
department
20
of
veterans
affairs
in
developing
these
programs.
