the

otherwise
contribute
to
the
learning
process

electronic
.

b.
Electronic
textbooks,
including
but
not
limited
to

computer
software,
applications
using
computer-assisted

instruction,
interactive
videodisc,
and
other
computer

courseware
and
magnetic
media.

c.
Instructional
technology
applicable
within
a
classroom

setting.

EXPLANATION

This
bill
relates
to
the
use
of
state
funds
allocated
to
17
school
districts
for
purposes
of
making
textbooks
available
to
18
accredited
nonpublic
school
pupils
by
expanding
the
definition
19
of
textbooks,
and
therefore
the
allowable
use
of
certain
state
20
funds,
to
include
instructional
technology
applicable
within
21
a
classroom
setting.
Currently,
the
definition
is
limited
to
22
books,
supplementary
instructional
materials,
and
electronic
23
textbooks,
including
but
not
limited
to
computer
software.
