H.F. 2162 Section 1. Section 15.108, subsection 7, paragraph g, 1 unnumbered paragraph 1, Code 2009, is amended to read as 2 follows: 3 Encourage and assist small businesses , including small 4 businesses owned or operated by disabled veterans, to obtain 5 state contracts and subcontracts by cooperating with the 6 directors of purchasing in the department of administrative 7 services, the state board of regents, and the state department 8 of transportation in performing the following functions: 9 EXPLANATION 10 This bill relates to disabled veteran-owned businesses and 11 the department of economic development. 12 The bill requires the department to encourage and assist 13 such businesses in obtaining state contracts. 14 -1- LSB 6164HH (3) 83 tw/nh 1/ 1
