professional
recognition

attained

minimum

baccalaureate
degree
and
who
are
licensed
by
another

professional
licensing
board
or
agency
,
including
but
not

limited
to
athletic
the
following:

a.
Athletic
trainers
licensed
under
chapter
152D.

b.
Persons
who
have
met
all
of
the
requirements
established
9
by
the
United
States
department
of
defense
and
the
applicable
10
branch
of
the
armed
services
for
serving
as
an
instructor
in
11
the
junior
reserve
officer
training
corps
program.

EXPLANATION
13
This
bill
authorizes
the
board
of
educational
examiners
to
14
issue
statements
of
professional
recognition
to
persons
who
15
have
at
a
minimum
attained
a
baccalaureate
degree
and
who
have
16
met
all
of
the
requirements
established
by
the
United
States
17
department
of
defense
and
the
applicable
branch
of
the
armed
18
services
for
serving
as
an
instructor
in
the
junior
reserve
19
officer
training
corps
program.
Persons
who
hold
a
statement
20
of
professional
recognition
and
who
meet
the
requirements
21
specified
in
Code
chapter
284,
which
establishes
the
student
22
achievement
and
teacher
quality
program,
are
eligible
to
23
receive
teacher
salary
supplement
funds.
