H.F. 2045 Section 1. Section 423.3, Code Supplement 2009, is amended 1 by adding the following new subsection: 2 NEW SUBSECTION . 68A. The sales price from the sale of 3 general school supplies when the sale takes place during a 4 period beginning at 12:01 a.m. on the first Friday in August 5 and ending at midnight on the following Saturday. 6 EXPLANATION 7 This bill creates a sales tax exemption from the sale of 8 general school supplies when the sale takes place during the 9 first Friday and Saturday of August each year. 10 -1- LSB 5288YH (3) 83 ak/sc 1/ 1
