  1  1    Section 1.  Section 99F.7, subsection 7, Code 2005, is
  1  2 amended to read as follows:
  1  3    7.  It is the intent of the general assembly that employees
  1  4 be paid at least twenty=five percent above the federal minimum
  1  5 wage level.  However, employees at a facility of a licensee
  1  6 shall be paid wages no less than one hundred thirty percent of
  1  7 the average county wage in the county where the facility is
  1  8 located, as determined by the department of economic
  1  9 development.
  1 10                           EXPLANATION
  1 11    This bill provides that employees at a facility licensed to
  1 12 conduct gambling games shall be paid wages no less than 130
  1 13 percent of the average county wage for the county where the
  1 14 facility is located.  The department of economic development
  1 15 shall determine the applicable average county wage.
