  1  1    Section 1.  WAIVER == STATE CHILDREN'S HEALTH INSURANCE
  1  2 PROGRAM.  The director of human services shall seek a waiver
  1  3 from the centers for Medicaid and Medicare services of the
  1  4 United States department of health and human services to
  1  5 expand the state children's health insurance program created
  1  6 under Title XXI of the Social Security Act to cover parents of
  1  7 children who are eligible for coverage under the Iowa state
  1  8 children's health insurance program established under chapter
  1  9 514I.
  1 10                           EXPLANATION
  1 11    This bill directs the director of human services to seek a
  1 12 waiver from the centers for Medicaid and Medicare services of
  1 13 the United States department of health and human services to
  1 14 expand the hawk=i program to cover parents of children who are
  1 15 eligible for coverage under that program.
