  1  1    Section 1.  Section 166D.13, Code 2005, is amended to read
  1  2 as follows:
  1  3    166D.13  EXHIBITION OF SWINE.
  1  4    The following apply to the exhibition of swine:
  1  5    1.  Swine from an infected herd shall not be displayed or
  1  6 shown at any an exhibition.
  1  7    2.  Swine returning which has returned from an exhibition
  1  8 to its home herd or moved to a purchaser's herd following an
  1  9 exhibition or consignment sale must be isolated and retested
  1 10 negative for pseudorabies not less than thirty and not more
  1 11 than sixty days after reaching the swine's destination.
  1 12    3.  Animals An animal which is infected shall not be shown
  1 13 or displayed at an exhibition.
  1 14    4.  Rules The department may adopt rules controlling
  1 15 exhibition movement requirements may be adopted by the
  1 16 department.  The rules shall be in addition to the
  1 17 requirements of this section.
  1 18                           EXPLANATION
  1 19    This bill provides for the exhibition of swine which is
  1 20 regulated by the department of agriculture and land
  1 21 stewardship.  The bill amends Code section 166D.13, which
  1 22 provides restrictions upon the movement and exhibition of
  1 23 swine.
