  1  3 A Resolution to honor professional golfer Zach
  1  4    Johnson.
  1  5    WHEREAS, Iowa=born Zach Johnson was born in Iowa
  1  6 City, Iowa, and raised in Cedar Rapids, taking up the
  1  7 game of golf at the age of 10; and
  1  8    WHEREAS, in 1998, Mr. Johnson graduated from Drake
  1  9 University in Des Moines, Iowa, and in that same year
  1 10 he became part of the Professional Golfers Association
  1 11 (PGA); and
  1 12    WHEREAS, in 2003, according to PGA biographical
  1 13 information, Mr. Johnson earned Nationwide Tour Player
  1 14 of the Year honors after making the cut in 19 of 20
  1 15 tournament events, including the last 17 and finishing
  1 16 first on the final list of money earners; and
  1 17    WHEREAS, in 2004, Mr. Johnson had an incredible
  1 18 rookie season, becoming just the second player in PGA
  1 19 Tour history to surpass $2 million in earnings in his
  1 20 first season, making 24 of 30 cuts and picking up his
  1 21 first tour win in just his 13th career tournament; and
  1 22    WHEREAS, Mr. Johnson continues to build on his
  1 23 record in 2005, earning his seventh straight cut in
  1 24 beginning the 2005 season and posting his first top=
  1 25 10 placement in a tournament, placing third at the
  1 26 Ford Championship at Doral and currently ranking 18th
  1 27 in money leaders on the PGA Tour; NOW THEREFORE,
  1 28    BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES,
  1 29 That the House of Representatives congratulates Zach
  1 30 Johnson on his incredible success so early in his
  2  1 career and thanks him for the pride and honor that he
  2  2 brings to all Iowans.
