  1  2   BY  LENSING, JOCHUM, SHOULTZ, MASCHER, and WINCKLER
  1  3 A Resolution honoring Robert J. Osterhaus.
  1  4    WHEREAS, Robert J. Osterhaus has attained a
  1  5 lifetime of achievements over the past 50 years, which
  1  6 in part includes:
  1  7    Graduation from the University of Iowa College of
  1  8 Pharmacy in 1952 and serving as an adjunct faculty
  1  9 member in the college;
  1 10    Opening his own pharmacy in Maquoketa, Iowa, in
  1 11 1965;
  1 12    Serving as a member of the Iowa Board of Pharmacy
  1 13 Examiners from 1972 to 1977 and serving as Chairman
  1 14 from 1974 to 1976;
  1 15    Serving as President of the Iowa Pharmacists
  1 16 Association in 1983 and as President of the American
  1 17 Pharmacists Association from 1992 to 1993; and
  1 18    Serving as a member of the Iowa House of
  1 19 Representatives from 1996 through 2004; and
  1 20    WHEREAS, Robert Osterhaus has again added another
  1 21 achievement to his successful career by being named
  1 22 the 2005 recipient of the American Pharmacists
  1 23 Association Remington Honor Medal; and
  1 24    WHEREAS, The Remington Honor Medal, created in
  1 25 1918, is the profession's highest honor; NOW
  1 26 THEREFORE,
  1 27    BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES,
  1 28 That the House of Representatives congratulates Robert
  1 29 Osterhaus, first, for his most recent honor in being
  1 30 named the 2005 recipient of the American Pharmacists
  2  1 Association Remington Honor Medal and, second, for his
  2  2 lifetime of service both to the pharmacy profession
  2  3 and to the people of Iowa.
