  1  2         BY  LYKAM, S. OLSON, WINCKLER, HUTTER,
  1  3          J.K. VAN FOSSEN, and J.R. VAN FOSSEN
  1  4 A Resolution to honor the Scott County Medical Society on its
  1  5 sesquicentennial anniversary.
  1  6    WHEREAS, on October 28, 1856, 13 physicians in
  1  7 Scott County, Iowa, voted to accept a constitution,
  1  8 code of ethics, and fee bill, forming the Scott County
  1  9 Medical Society; and
  1 10    WHEREAS, for 150 years, the Scott County Medical
  1 11 Society has served the physicians of Scott County; and
  1 12    WHEREAS, for 150 years, the Scott County Medical
  1 13 Society has facilitated collegiality among physicians;
  1 14 and
  1 15    WHEREAS, for 150 years, the Scott County Medical
  1 16 Society has been a source of information on public
  1 17 health problems; and
  1 18    WHEREAS, for 150 years, the Scott County Medical
  1 19 Society has been dedicated to providing the best
  1 20 quality of care to patients and to protecting the
  1 21 health of the community; and
  1 22    WHEREAS, for 150 years, the Scott County Medical
  1 23 Society has been a referral service for the community;
  1 24 and
  1 25    WHEREAS, for 150 years, the Scott County Medical
  1 26 Society has been committed to promoting good patient
  1 27 outcomes and assisting those with serious quality of
  1 28 care concerns; and
  1 29    WHEREAS, for 150 years, the Scott County Medical
  1 30 Society has promoted the efforts of organized medicine
  2  1 at the local level; NOW THEREFORE,
  2  2    BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES,
  2  3 That the House of Representatives recognizes the Scott
  2  4 County Medical Society for its 150 years of service to
  2  5 its physicians and community.
