  1  1                HOUSE RESOLUTION NO.    
  1  2                       BY  HEDDENS
  1  3 A Resolution honoring The Madrid Homes on its
  1  4 centennial year.
  1  5    WHEREAS, The Madrid Homes is a 171=bed award=
  1  6 winning health care facility in Madrid, Iowa, that
  1  7 provides both long and short=term care for all ages;
  1  8 and
  1  9    WHEREAS, The Madrid Homes also maintains The Cedars
  1 10 assisted living facility in Madrid, Iowa, and the
  1 11 Ballard Creek Community assisted living facility in
  1 12 Huxley, Iowa; and
  1 13    WHEREAS, The Madrid Homes will celebrate its
  1 14 centennial year in 2006; and
  1 15    WHEREAS, throughout 2006 special events will
  1 16 recognize residents of the home, volunteers,
  1 17 employees, and community helpers, concluding with the
  1 18 100th anniversary service of celebration on Labor Day,
  1 19 September 4, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. in the Sanborn Chapel
  1 20 in Madrid, Iowa; NOW THEREFORE,
  1 21    BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES,
  1 22 That the House of Representatives extends its
  1 23 congratulations to The Madrid Homes on its centennial
  1 24 anniversary year and for its 100 years of service to
  1 25 the citizens of Iowa and its devotion to meeting the
  1 26 needs of older Iowans.
