  1  1    Section 1.  Section 331.205, Code 2005, is repealed.
  1  2                           EXPLANATION
  1  3    Under current law, a county with a city of over 75,000
  1  4 population that is operating under the commission form of city
  1  5 government is required to follow petition and vote
  1  6 requirements in order to increase or reduce the membership of
  1  7 the board of supervisors in the county that are different than
  1  8 is required for other counties.  This bill repeals the section
  1  9 containing the different requirements so that all counties
  1 10 must follow the same petition and vote requirements to
  1 11 increase or reduce board of supervisors membership.
