  1  1    Section 1.  Section 99F.11, subsection 3, Code 2005, is
  1  2 amended by adding the following new paragraph:
  1  3    NEW PARAGRAPH.  dd.  One=half of one percent of the
  1  4 adjusted gross receipts shall be distributed and is
  1  5 appropriated to the department of economic development for
  1  6 purposes of tourism marketing activities, including regional
  1  7 tourism marketing, conducted by the department's office of
  1  8 tourism.
  1  9                           EXPLANATION
  1 10    This bill relates to tourism marketing by the department of
  1 11 economic development and makes appropriations.
  1 12    The bill distributes one=half of 1 percent of the revenue
  1 13 generated from taxes imposed on the adjusted gross receipts
  1 14 received each fiscal year from gambling to the department of
  1 15 economic development and appropriates the moneys for purposes
  1 16 of tourism marketing activities, including regional tourism
  1 17 marketing, conducted by the department's office of tourism.
