1 1 Section 1. DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RIGHTS.
1 2 1. There is appropriated from the general fund of the
1 3 state to the department of human rights for the fiscal year
1 4 beginning July 1, 2005, and ending June 30, 2006, the
1 5 following amounts, or so much thereof as is necessary, to be
1 6 used for the purposes designated:
1 7 a. LATINO AFFAIRS DIVISION
1 8 For salaries, support, maintenance, and miscellaneous
1 9 purposes:
1 10 .................................................. $ 250,000
1 11 b. STATUS OF AFRICAN=AMERICANS DIVISION
1 12 For salaries, support, maintenance, and miscellaneous
1 13 purposes:
1 14 .................................................. $ 250,000
1 15 c. ASIAN AND PACIFIC ISLANDER HERITAGE DIVISION
1 16 For salaries, support, maintenance, and miscellaneous
1 17 purposes:
1 18 .................................................. $ 250,000
1 19 2. The appropriations made in this Act are in lieu of any
1 20 other appropriations made to the department of human rights
1 21 for the designated divisions and specified purposes for the
1 22 fiscal year beginning July 1, 2005.
1 23 EXPLANATION
1 24 This bill makes FY 2005=2006 operating appropriations to
1 25 the department of human rights for the divisions of Latino
1 26 affairs, the status of African=Americans, and Iowans of Asian
1 27 and Pacific Islander heritage. The bill provides that the
1 28 appropriations are in lieu of any other FY 2005=2006
1 29 appropriations made to the department for the same divisions
1 30 and same purposes.
