  1  1    Section 1.  NEW SECTION.  70A.21  STATE GOVERNMENT
  1  2 POSITIONS == PERMANENT EMPLOYEES.
  1  3    An employee in a position or job within a state department,
  1  4 board, agency, or commission in which any person or persons
  1  5 have been employed in that position for at least one hundred
  1  6 eighty days within a calendar year shall be considered a
  1  7 permanent full=time or permanent part=time employee of the
  1  8 state, unless otherwise specifically provided by law.
  1  9                           EXPLANATION
  1 10    This bill provides that an employee in a position within
  1 11 state government that has been filled by any person or persons
  1 12 for at least 180 days in a calendar year shall be considered a
  1 13 permanent full=time or part=time employee of the state, unless
  1 14 otherwise provided by law.
