  1 An Act subjecting officers and directors of a nonprofit
  2    corporation granted a license to conduct pari=mutuel wagering
  3    or gambling games to government conflict of interest
  4    provisions and making penalties applicable.

  1  1    Section 1.  Section 68B.2A, Code 2005, is amended by adding
  1  2 the following new subsection:
  1  3    NEW SUBSECTION.  2B.  For purposes of this section, an
  1  4 officer or member of the board of directors of a nonprofit
  1  5 corporation granted a license pursuant to section 99D.9 or
  1  6 99F.7 shall be subject to the requirements of this section.
  1  7                           EXPLANATION
  1  8    This bill provides that officers and members of the board
  1  9 of directors of a nonprofit corporation granted a license to
  1 10 conduct pari=mutuel wagering under Code section 99D.9 or to
  1 11 conduct gambling games under Code section 99F.7 shall be
  1 12 subject to the conflicts of interest provisions applicable to
  1 13 government employees established under Code section 68B.2A.  A
  1 14 person who knowingly violates a provision of this section is
  1 15 guilty of a serious misdemeanor pursuant to Code section
  1 16 68B.25.
