  1  1    Section 1.  Section 99F.7, Code 2005, is amended by adding
  1  2 the following new subsection:
  1  3    NEW SUBSECTION.  18.  The commission shall require that
  1  4 each licensee operating gambling games provide that a portion
  1  5 of adjusted gross receipts required to be distributed for
  1  6 educational, civic, public, charitable, patriotic, or
  1  7 religious uses as defined in section 99B.7, subsection 3,
  1  8 paragraph "b", as otherwise required by this chapter shall be
  1  9 distributed for retail development or other developmental
  1 10 activities within a state=designated enterprise zone if an
  1 11 enterprise zone is located in the county where the licensee
  1 12 operates.  Moneys distributed pursuant to this subsection may
  1 13 be expended for qualifying developmental activities over a
  1 14 three=year period.
  1 15                           EXPLANATION
  1 16    This bill provides that the racing and gaming commission
  1 17 shall require licensees operating gambling games to distribute
  1 18 a portion of the moneys required to be distributed for
  1 19 charitable uses to developmental activities within a state=
  1 20 designated enterprise zone if a zone is located in the county
  1 21 where the licensee is operating.
