  1  1    Section 1.  Section 481A.48, Code 2005, is amended by
  1  2 adding the following new subsection:
  1  3    NEW SUBSECTION.  1A.  Notwithstanding subsection 1, the
  1  4 commission shall establish the bobwhite quail hunting season
  1  5 to coincide with the pheasant hunting season established by
  1  6 the commission.
  1  7                           EXPLANATION
  1  8    This bill requires the natural resource commission to
  1  9 establish the bobwhite quail hunting season to coincide with
  1 10 the pheasant hunting season established by the commission.
