  1  1    Section 1.  AIDS DRUG ASSISTANCE PROGRAM == APPROPRIATION.
  1  2 There is appropriated from the general fund of the state to
  1  3 the Iowa department of public health for the fiscal year
  1  4 beginning July 1, 2005, and ending June 30, 2006, the
  1  5 following amount, or so much thereof as is necessary, for the
  1  6 purpose designated:
  1  7    To provide medications to people living with HIV/AIDS in
  1  8 the state through the AIDS drug assistance program:
  1  9 .................................................. $    600,000
  1 10                           EXPLANATION
  1 11    This bill appropriates $600,000 from the general fund of
  1 12 the state to the Iowa department of public health for FY 2005=
  1 13 2006 to provide medications to people living with HIV/AIDS
  1 14 through the AIDS drug assistance program.  Currently, the AIDS
  1 15 drug assistance program is funded solely by federal funding
  1 16 received through the federal Ryan White Care Act, Title II.
