  1  1    Section 1.  Section 135B.7, Code 2005, is amended by adding
  1  2 the following new unnumbered paragraph:
  1  3    NEW UNNUMBERED PARAGRAPH.  The department shall adopt rules
  1  4 requiring the adoption of only one nursing care plan per
  1  5 hospital patient.  Separate nursing care plans per individual
  1  6 patient diagnosis shall not be required.
  1  7                           EXPLANATION
  1  8    This bill provides that the Iowa department of public
  1  9 health shall adopt rules which require the development of only
  1 10 one nursing care plan per patient at a hospital.  The bill
  1 11 provides that separate nursing care plans per individual
  1 12 patient diagnosis shall not be required.
