  1  1    Section 1.  NEW SECTION.  279.60  PUBLICIZE HIGHER
  1  2 EDUCATION OPTIONS.
  1  3    The board of directors of each school district shall
  1  4 publicize in, at a minimum, the school district's student
  1  5 handbook and on the school district's web page, the higher
  1  6 education opportunities available to students enrolled in the
  1  7 school district, including opportunities provided under the
  1  8 postsecondary enrollment options Act, chapter 261C, and the
  1  9 availability of classes offered under district=to=community
  1 10 college sharing agreements.
  1 11                           EXPLANATION
  1 12    This bill requires the board of directors of a school
  1 13 district to publicize in, at a minimum, the school district's
  1 14 student handbook and on the school district's web page, the
  1 15 higher education opportunities available to students,
  1 16 including opportunities under the postsecondary enrollment
  1 17 options Act and classes offered under district=to=community
  1 18 college sharing agreements.
