  1  1    Section 1.  NEW SECTION.  143.4  STATEWIDE PUBLIC HEALTH
  1  2 NURSING AND HOMEMAKER=HOME HEALTH AIDE PROGRAMS.
  1  3    The state is responsible for fifty percent of the annual
  1  4 cost of the statewide public health nursing and homemaker=home
  1  5 health aide programs administered by the Iowa department of
  1  6 public health under section 135.11.
  1  7                           EXPLANATION
  1  8    This bill provides that the state is responsible for 50
  1  9 percent of the cost of the statewide public health nursing and
  1 10 homemaker=home health aide programs.
  1 11    Current law assigns responsibility for statewide
  1 12 administration of the two programs to the Iowa department of
  1 13 public health in Code section 135.11.
