  1 An Act relating to and making an appropriation to the restore the
  2    outdoors program under the department of natural resources.

  1  1    Section 1.  Section 461A.3A, subsection 2, unnumbered
  1  2 paragraph 1, Code 2005, is amended to read as follows:
  1  3    There is appropriated from the rebuild Iowa infrastructure
  1  4 fund for each fiscal year of the fiscal period beginning July
  1  5 1, 1997 2007, and ending June 30, 2001 2020, the sum of three
  1  6 two million five hundred thousand dollars to the department
  1  7 for use in the restore the outdoors program.  Notwithstanding
  1  8 section 8.33, unencumbered or unobligated moneys remaining at
  1  9 the end of a fiscal year shall not revert but shall remain
  1 10 available for expenditure during the following fiscal year for
  1 11 purposes of the restore the outdoors program.
  1 12                           EXPLANATION
  1 13    This bill appropriates $2.5 million from the rebuild Iowa
  1 14 infrastructure fund to the department of natural resources for
  1 15 use in the restore the outdoors program for each fiscal year
  1 16 of the fiscal period beginning July 1, 2007, and ending June
  1 17 30, 2020.  The purpose of the restore the outdoors program is
  1 18 to provide major maintenance and infrastructure improvements
  1 19 to existing state parks and other public facilities managed by
  1 20 the department of natural resources.  Any unencumbered or
  1 21 unobligated moneys remaining at the end of the fiscal year
  1 22 shall not revert to the rebuild Iowa infrastructure fund, but
  1 23 shall remain available for expenditure during the following
  1 24 fiscal year for the restore the outdoors program.
