  1  1    Section 1.  Section 602.8105, subsection 2, paragraph e,
  1  2 Code Supplement 2005, is amended to read as follows:
  1  3    e.  For filing a praecipe to issue execution under chapter
  1  4 626, twenty=five dollars.  The fee shall be recoverable by the
  1  5 creditor against whom the execution is issued.  A fee payable
  1  6 by a political subdivision of the state under this paragraph
  1  7 shall be collected by the clerk of the district court as
  1  8 provided in section 602.8109.
  1  9                           EXPLANATION
  1 10    This bill provides the filing fee for a praecipe to issue
  1 11 execution is recoverable against the debtor.  The bill
  1 12 provides that any praecipe filing fee payable by a political
  1 13 subdivision of the state shall be collected by the clerk of
  1 14 the district court on a monthly basis as provided in Code
  1 15 section 602.8109.  A praecipe is a document filed with the
  1 16 clerk of the district court that relates to enforcing a
  1 17 judgment.
