  3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:

  1  1    Section 1.  Section 331.606B, subsection 1, Code 2005, is
  1  2 amended by adding the following new paragraph:
  1  3    NEW PARAGRAPH.  g.  A standard surveyor=prepared plat or
  1  4 survey or drawing related to a plat or survey, including but
  1  5 not limited to a plat or survey document having a page size
  1  6 measuring a minimum of eight and one=half inches by eleven
  1  7 inches to a maximum of twenty=two inches by thirty=four inches
  1  8 and a two=inch margin at the top.  All drawings larger than
  1  9 eleven inches by seventeen inches shall be accompanied by a
  1 10 reduced size drawing not larger than eleven inches by
  1 11 seventeen inches.
  1 12                           EXPLANATION
  1 13    Under this bill, standard plat and survey documents and
  1 14 drawings prepared by a surveyor, including but not limited to
  1 15 a document having a page size measuring 22 inches by 34 inches
  1 16 or less, may be filed by the county recorder without meeting
  1 17 the format requirements of Code section 331.606B.
