  1  1    Section 1.  There is appropriated from the rebuild Iowa
  1  2 infrastructure fund to the state department of transportation
  1  3 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2006, and ending June
  1  4 30, 2007, the following amount, or so much thereof as is
  1  5 necessary, to be used for the purpose designated:
  1  6    For a vertical infrastructure improvement grant program for
  1  7 improvements at general aviation airports within the state:
  1  8 .................................................. $    750,000
  1  9    In awarding assistance under the vertical infrastructure
  1 10 improvement grant program, the department shall give
  1 11 preference to projects that demonstrate a collaborative effort
  1 12 between airports.
  1 13                           EXPLANATION
  1 14    This bill appropriates $750,000 from the rebuild Iowa
  1 15 infrastructure fund to the state department of transportation
  1 16 for FY 2006==2007 to fund improvements at general aviation
  1 17 airports through a vertical infrastructure improvement grant
  1 18 program.
