  1  1    Section 1.  Section 22.7, Code Supplement 2005, is amended
  1  2 by adding the following new subsection:
  1  3    NEW SUBSECTION.  5A.  Electronic mail and telephone billing
  1  4 records of law enforcement agencies if that information is
  1  5 part of an active investigation.
  1  6                           EXPLANATION
  1  7    This bill amends Code chapter 22, the open records law, to
  1  8 make electronic mail and telephone billing records of law
  1  9 enforcement agencies confidential if that information is part
  1 10 of an active investigation.
