  1  1    Section 1.  NEW SECTION.  16.191  WOMEN'S HOUSING TECHNICAL
  1  2 ASSISTANCE PROGRAM.
  1  3    The authority shall establish and administer a women's
  1  4 housing technical assistance program designed to provide women
  1  5 with information on housing issues including, but not limited
  1  6 to, available opportunities for down payment assistance and
  1  7 low interest rate mortgages.  In administering the program,
  1  8 the authority may coordinate activities under the program with
  1  9 local entities.
  1 10                           EXPLANATION
  1 11    This bill establishes a women's housing technical
  1 12 assistance program.
  1 13    The bill requires the Iowa finance authority to establish
  1 14 and administer a women's housing technical assistance program
  1 15 designed to provide women with information on housing issues.
  1 16 In administering the program, the authority may coordinate
  1 17 activities under the program with local entities.
