1 An Act relating to and making an appropriation for the remodeling
2 and renovation of the sexually violent predators unit at the
3 state mental health institute at Cherokee.

1 1 Section 1. APPROPRIATION == DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE
1 2 SERVICES == SEXUALLY VIOLENT PREDATORS UNIT.
1 3 1. There is appropriated from the tax=exempt bond proceeds
1 4 restricted capital funds account of the tobacco settlement
1 5 trust fund to the department of administrative services for
1 6 the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2006, and ending June 30,
1 7 2007, the following amount, or so much thereof as is
1 8 necessary, to be used for the purposes designated:
1 9 For the remodeling and renovation of the sexually violent
1 10 predators unit located at the state mental health institute at
1 11 Cherokee:
1 12 .................................................. $ 1,500,000
1 13 2. Payment of moneys from the appropriation in this
1 14 section shall be made in a manner that does not adversely
1 15 affect the tax=exempt status of any outstanding bonds issued
1 16 by the tobacco settlement authority.
1 17 3. Notwithstanding section 8.33, moneys appropriated in
1 18 this section shall not revert at the close of the fiscal year
1 19 for which they were appropriated but shall remain available
1 20 for the purposes designated until the close of the fiscal year
1 21 that begins July 1, 2007, or until the project for which the
1 22 appropriation was made is completed, whichever is earlier.
1 23 EXPLANATION
1 24 This bill appropriates $1.5 million from the tax=exempt
1 25 bond proceeds restricted capital funds account of the tobacco
1 26 settlement trust fund to the department of administrative
1 27 services for the remodeling and renovation of the sexually
1 28 violent predators unit at the state mental health institute at
1 29 Cherokee.
1 30 The bill provides that moneys from the appropriation shall
1 31 be made in a manner that does not adversely affect the tax=
1 32 exempt status of any outstanding bonds issued by the tobacco
1 33 settlement authority and that, notwithstanding Code section
1 34 8.33, moneys appropriated shall not revert at the close of the
1 35 fiscal year for which they were appropriated but shall remain
2 1 available for the purposes designated until the close of the
2 2 fiscal year that begins July 1, 2007, or until the project for
2 3 which the appropriation was made is completed, whichever is
2 4 earlier.
