  1  1    Section 1.  CHILD HEALTH SPECIALITY CLINICS.  There is
  1  2 appropriated from the general fund of the state to the Iowa
  1  3 department of public health for the fiscal year beginning July
  1  4 1, 2006, and ending June 30, 2007, the following amount, or so
  1  5 much thereof as is necessary, to be used for the purpose
  1  6 designated:
  1  7    For increasing the funding for mobile and regional child
  1  8 health specialty clinics in order for the clinics to expand
  1  9 clinical operations:
  1 10 .................................................. $    439,000
  1 11    Sec. 2.  PACE COORDINATOR == WESTERN IOWA.  There is
  1 12 appropriated from the general fund of the state to the
  1 13 department of human services for the fiscal year beginning
  1 14 July 1, 2006, and ending June 30, 2007, the following amount,
  1 15 or so much thereof as is necessary, to be used for the purpose
  1 16 designated:
  1 17    For funding of a county=based coordinator position for the
  1 18 program of all=inclusive care for the elderly (PACE) as
  1 19 defined in section 249H.3:
  1 20 .................................................. $     62,000
  1 21    The county=based coordinator shall assist the statewide
  1 22 PACE program coordinator by working with PACE services in a
  1 23 county with a population of more than 100,000 located on the
  1 24 western border of the state.  If possible, the department
  1 25 shall implement the position in a manner that draws matching
  1 26 federal medical assistance program funding.  The department
  1 27 may implement the position by allocating funding to a local
  1 28 agency serving elder Iowans in order to coordinate local PACE
  1 29 activities and services.
  1 30    Sec. 3.  STATE POISON CONTROL CENTER.  There is
  1 31 appropriated from the healthy Iowans tobacco trust created in
  1 32 section 12.65 to the Iowa department of public health for the
  1 33 fiscal year beginning July 1, 2006, and ending June 30, 2007,
  1 34 the following amount, or so much thereof as is necessary, to
  1 35 be used for the purpose designated:
  2  1    For the state poison control center:
  2  2 .................................................. $    600,000
  2  3                           EXPLANATION
  2  4    This bill makes appropriations for certain health=related
  2  5 programs for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2006.
  2  6    An appropriation is made from the general fund of the state
  2  7 to the Iowa department of public health to be used for mobile
  2  8 and child health specialty clinics for expansion of clinical
  2  9 services.
  2 10    An appropriation is made from the general fund of the state
  2 11 to the department of human services to be used for a county=
  2 12 based coordinator for the federally defined program of all=
  2 13 inclusive care for the elderly (PACE).  The county=based
  2 14 coordinator is required to work with PACE services in a county
  2 15 of more than 100,000 population located on the western border
  2 16 of the state.
  2 17    An appropriation is made from the healthy Iowans tobacco
  2 18 trust to the Iowa department of public health to be used for
  2 19 the state poison control center.
