  1  1    Section 1.  COLLEGE STUDENT AID COMMISSION == STATE OF IOWA
  1  2 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS.  The college student aid commission
  1  3 shall solicit, accept, and process applications for state of
  1  4 Iowa scholarships until March 30, 2006, and shall issue awards
  1  5 for the 2005=2006 fiscal year under the state of Iowa
  1  6 scholarship program the commission administers pursuant to
  1  7 section 261.2, subsection 1.
  1  8    Sec. 2.  EFFECTIVE DATE.  This Act, being deemed of
  1  9 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment.
  1 10                           EXPLANATION
  1 11    This bill requires the college student aid commission to
  1 12 solicit, accept, and process applications until March 30,
  1 13 2006, and to award FY 2005=2006 state of Iowa scholarships
  1 14 under the program the commission administers pursuant to Code
  1 15 section 261.2, subsection 1.
  1 16    The bill takes effect upon enactment.
