  1  1    Section 1.  MEDICAL ASSISTANCE LONG=TERM CARE SERVICES ON=
  1  2 SITE ASSESSMENT AND LEVEL OF CARE DETERMINATION ==
  1  3 ELIMINATION.  The department of human services shall amend the
  1  4 portion of the medical services contract relating to
  1  5 independent preadmission screening for long=term care services
  1  6 to eliminate the requirement for on=site assessments and level
  1  7 of care determinations of individuals who are recipients of
  1  8 medical assistance.
  1  9                           EXPLANATION
  1 10    This bill directs the department of human services to amend
  1 11 the portion of the medical services contract relating to
  1 12 independent preadmission screening for long=term care services
  1 13 to eliminate the requirement for on=site assessments and level
  1 14 of care determinations of individuals who are recipients of
  1 15 medical assistance.
