  1  1    Section 1.  Section 239B.8, Code Supplement 2005, is
  1  2 amended by adding the following new subsection:
  1  3    NEW SUBSECTION.  2A.  FINANCIAL EDUCATION.  Participation
  1  4 in a financial education program shall be a required element
  1  5 of all family investment agreements.
  1  6                           EXPLANATION
  1  7    This bill requires financial education for family
  1  8 investment program (FIP) participants.
  1  9    Code section 239B.8, relating to family investment
  1 10 agreements for FIP participants, is amended to provide that
  1 11 participation in a financial education program is a required
  1 12 element of family investment agreements.
