  1  1    Section 1.  Section 99G.40, subsection 4, Code Supplement
  1  2 2003, is amended to read as follows:
  1  3    4.  For informational purposes only, the chief executive
  1  4 officer shall submit to the department of management by
  1  5 October 1 of each year a proposed operating budget for the
  1  6 authority for the succeeding fiscal year.  This budget
  1  7 proposal shall also be accompanied by an estimate of the net
  1  8 proceeds to be deposited into the general fund during the
  1  9 succeeding fiscal year.  This budget shall be on forms
  1 10 prescribed by the department of management.  A copy of the
  1 11 information required to be submitted to the department of
  1 12 management pursuant to this subsection shall be submitted to
  1 13 the legislative government oversight committees and the
  1 14 legislative services agency by October 1 of each year.
  1 15                           EXPLANATION
  1 16    This bill provides that the chief executive officer of the
  1 17 lottery shall submit copies of the budget information
  1 18 currently required to be submitted to the department of
  1 19 management by October 1 to the legislative government
  1 20 oversight committees and the legislative services agency.
