  1  3 A Resolution to recognize the soldiers of the 1133rd
  1  4    Transportation Company of the Iowa National Guard for
  1  5    their service and sacrifice in the Iraq conflict.
  1  6    WHEREAS, the soldiers of the 1133rd Transportation
  1  7 Company of the Iowa National Guard have completed one
  1  8 year of service in Iraq; and
  1  9    WHEREAS, that service has been filled with danger,
  1 10 sacrifice, and hard work; and
  1 11    WHEREAS, the families of the soldiers have shared
  1 12 in that sacrifice; and
  1 13    WHEREAS, the soldiers and their families embody
  1 14 that spirit and dedication which have supported the
  1 15 Iowa militia and later the Iowa National Guard since
  1 16 the American civil war;  NOW THEREFORE,
  1 17    BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE, That the Senate, on
  1 18 behalf of all Iowans, extends its gratitude to the
  1 19 soldiers of the 1133rd Transportation Company of the
  1 20 Iowa National Guard for their dedication and
  1 21 outstanding performance of duty, and to the families
  1 22 of those soldiers, whose sacrifice and support has
  1 23 been unwavering during the Iraq conflict.
