  1  1    Section 1.  Section 249A.12, Code 2003, is amended by
  1  2 adding the following new subsection:
  1  3    NEW SUBSECTION.  6.  Effective July 1, 2003, the provisions
  1  4 of the home and community=based services waiver for persons
  1  5 with mental retardation shall include day habilitation,
  1  6 prevocational, and transportation services.
  1  7                           EXPLANATION
  1  8    Effective July 1, 2003, this bill requires additional
  1  9 services to be included under the medical assistance program
  1 10 home and community=based services waiver for persons with
  1 11 mental retardation.  The additional services are day
  1 12 habilitation, prevocational, and transportation services.
