  1  1    Section 1.  LOESS HILL STUDY AND REPORT.  The natural
  1  2 resource commission, in consultation with the state advisory
  1  3 board for preserves, shall conduct a study to determine the
  1  4 feasibility of designating land in the loess hills for
  1  5 dedication as a state native prairie preserve.  The natural
  1  6 resource commission and the state advisory board for preserves
  1  7 shall file a joint report containing their findings and
  1  8 recommendations with the legislative services agency by
  1  9 December 15, 2004, for distribution to the general assembly.
  1 10                           EXPLANATION
  1 11    This bill requires the natural resource commission, in
  1 12 consultation with the state advisory board for preserves, to
  1 13 conduct a study to determine the feasibility of designating
  1 14 land in the loess hills for dedication as a state native
  1 15 prairie preserve.  The bill also directs the natural resource
  1 16 commission and the state advisory board for preserves to file
  1 17 a joint report containing their findings and recommendations
  1 18 with the legislative services agency by December 15, 2004, for
  1 19 distribution to the general assembly.
