  1  1    Section 1.  NEW SECTION.  314.29  SECOND INFANTRY DIVISION
  1  2 HIGHWAY.
  1  3    State highway 2 in southern Iowa shall be known as the
  1  4 "Second Infantry Division Highway".  The department shall
  1  5 include the emblem of the United States army, second infantry
  1  6 division, on signs identifying state highway 2.
  1  7                           EXPLANATION
  1  8    This bill directs that state highway 2 in southern Iowa is
  1  9 to be known as the "Second Infantry Division Highway".
  1 10 Signage identifying highway 2 shall include the emblem of the
  1 11 United States army, second infantry division.
  1 12    The second infantry division was first activated in 1917,
  1 13 and served during two world wars and the Korean Conflict.  The
  1 14 division is currently deployed on the Korean peninsula.
