1 2 adding the following new subsection:
1 3 NEW SUBSECTION. 5A. Notwithstanding subsection 5,

1 9 distribution point is ninety thousand pounds. However, weight
1 10 embargoes on bridges shall continue to apply.
1 11 EXPLANATION
1 12 This bill creates an exception to maximum gross weight
1 13 limits for vehicles hauling crops on noninterstate highways
1 14 from the point of harvest to a distribution or storage point
1 15 during the period of harvest from September 1 through November
1 16 14 annually. Current law establishes graduated weight limits
