  1  1    Section 1.  Section 272.3, Code 2003, is amended by adding
  1  2 the following new subsection:
  1  3    NEW SUBSECTION.  8.  Teacher preparation program faculty
  1  4 members employed at institutions of higher education providing
  1  5 approved practitioner preparation programs.
  1  6                           EXPLANATION
  1  7    This bill adds teacher preparation program faculty members
  1  8 to the list of licensed practitioners from which the governor
  1  9 must choose in making appointments to the board of educational
  1 10 examiners.
